Recorded Committee Votes

Republicans are going to continue our years-long fight to have all votes on the passage of legislation - from sub-committee all the way to final consideration on the floor - be recorded and posted on the internet.  Tennessee's General Assembly should record all votes on the passage of legislation.  Whether a legislator will support a bill or oppose it, their constituents deserve to know how their representative voted.

Under our plan, all votes on the passage of legislation will be posted on the legislature’s Web site in a searchable format.  It does not matter if it is in a sub-committee, committee or on the floor of the House.  Citizens will be able to access those votes and hold their elected officials accountable for what they do in Nashville.
